Lucknow Airport Struggles with Rush, Deploys Extra Staff to Manage Crowds.

As runway expansion work takes off at Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) International Airport in Lucknow, the airport has faced challenges in managing the weekend rush and overcrowding at airline counters. In response to this, airport authorities have announced the deployment of an additional 30 percent of staff to work during peak times, particularly in the night and morning shifts.

With the increased number of flights and ongoing construction on the runways, the airport has been experiencing a significant rise in passenger traffic, especially on weekends. This has led to longer queues and congestion at various points, including check-in counters and security checks. To address this, CCS International Airport has taken proactive measures by ramping up staffing levels to ensure smoother operations and a better experience for travelers.

The additional staff members have been strategically deployed to manage the peak hours and assist passengers in a more efficient manner. This move aims to reduce wait times and alleviate the stress caused by overcrowding, providing passengers with a more streamlined airport experience.

In addition to deploying more personnel, the airport is working on improving overall infrastructure to handle the growing number of travelers. The runway expansion is a key part of these efforts, as it will allow the airport to accommodate larger aircraft and more flights, ultimately boosting its capacity and efficiency in the long term.

Authorities at the airport have urged passengers to arrive well in advance of their flights to allow for sufficient time to navigate the busy airport. While the situation remains challenging during peak times, these measures are expected to improve the flow of operations and enhance passenger comfort at CCS International Airport as it continues to expand and modernize its facilities.
