Lufthansa City Airlines Starts Jersey Flights.

Lufthansa City Airlines has officially launched its first flights to Jersey, marking a major expansion of the airline’s summer leisure network. The new seasonal route strengthens the carrier’s European operations while offering passengers easier access to one of the region’s most popular island destinations.

The newly established Lufthansa subsidiary is gradually taking over selected short-haul routes from Lufthansa as part of the group’s strategy to improve regional efficiency and expand connectivity across Europe. The Jersey service is among the latest additions aimed at boosting holiday travel during the peak summer season.

Known for its scenic coastline, beaches, and blend of British and French culture, Jersey continues to attract travellers from across Europe every year. Passengers onboard the inaugural flights were welcomed by airline crews as the company celebrated the successful launch of the new route.

The flights are being operated using the airline’s regional aircraft fleet with a focus on seasonal leisure traffic. The service also allows passengers from the UK and Europe to connect conveniently through major German hubs, improving travel options for both tourists and business travellers.

Local tourism authorities have praised the new connection, saying it is expected to increase visitor numbers and support the island’s tourism industry during the busy summer holiday months.
