Lufthansa Technik and Emirates have extended their partnership for Airbus A380 base maintenance through 2030, strengthening a relationship that has supported Emirates’ superjumbo fleet since 2023. Lufthansa Technik Philippines will continue carrying out heavy maintenance checks on Emirates A380s at its Manila facility.
Since the partnership began, Lufthansa Technik Philippines has completed more than 30 A380 checks for Emirates. The maintenance provider currently operates two dedicated base-maintenance lines for the airline at its Manila facility.
Emirates will also become the launch customer of Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ new maintenance facility at Clark International Airport once operations begin. The new agreement is reportedly one of the largest by value in the history of Lufthansa Technik Philippines.
The extended agreement highlights Emirates’ continued commitment to its A380 fleet and Lufthansa Technik’s growing role in supporting widebody aircraft maintenance across the Asia-Pacific region.
