Madhya Pradesh is set to witness a significant transformation in its aviation sector, with the state government announcing plans to establish a new airport in Ujjain and open five aviation academies. The initiative aims to position Madhya Pradesh as a key aviation hub in the country, enhancing connectivity and fostering skill development in the sector.

The new airport in Ujjain will boost air connectivity to the holy city, which attracts millions of pilgrims and tourists annually. Currently, travelers visiting Ujjain rely on Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, located approximately 55 kilometers away. The proposed airport will make travel more convenient and promote tourism, business, and local economic growth. The state government has already initiated the groundwork, and the project is expected to be completed in the coming years.

In addition to improving infrastructure, Madhya Pradesh is also focusing on aviation education and training. Five new aviation academies will be set up across the state to train aspiring pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, and other aviation professionals. These academies will be equipped with modern facilities and experienced instructors to ensure high-quality training. The move aligns with India’s growing demand for skilled aviation professionals, as the country continues to witness rapid expansion in air travel.

With these developments, Madhya Pradesh is poised to emerge as a major player in India’s aviation landscape. The combination of improved air connectivity and world-class aviation training facilities will not only benefit the local economy but also contribute to the nation’s broader aviation growth.
