Mahua Moitra has alleged harassment onboard an IndiGo flight after a group of passengers reportedly shouted slogans and filmed her while deboarding in Delhi.
According to Moitra, the incident took place on flight 6E 719 while she was travelling to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence. She stated that she was seated in 1F when a group of 4–6 men boarded the aircraft, allegedly stared at her during the journey, and later raised slogans before the aircraft doors were opened after landing.
Describing the incident as a serious safety concern, Moitra said the actions were not “citizen anger” but clear harassment that violated her security inside the aircraft. She also claimed that the group recorded videos during the incident, which later surfaced on social media and quickly went viral.
The TMC leader has urged IndiGo and aviation authorities to identify those involved using crew reports and take strict action, including placing them on a no-fly list. As the videos continue to circulate online, the incident has sparked widespread debate over passenger behavior and inflight safety, while the airline is yet to issue an official response.
