New Norwich–Jersey Flights Launch on Liberation Day.

Blue Islands has officially launched its new Norwich–Jersey service on Jersey’s Liberation Day, marking a symbolic start for the new route connecting the island community with eastern England.

The inaugural flight was celebrated with passengers, local residents, and crew members as Jersey marked its annual Liberation Day celebrations. The airline said the new service aims to improve regional connectivity while supporting tourism, business travel, and easier access for island communities.

Jersey Liberation Day commemorates the island’s freedom from German occupation during World War II and remains one of the most important annual events for the community. Launching the new route on the same day added special significance to the occasion.

The airline stated it is proud to support stronger connections to Jersey and looks forward to welcoming more travelers through the new Norwich service in the coming months.
