Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Airlines.

Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian airlines and aircraft from using its airspace for another month, pushing the restriction into its tenth month. The extension will remain in force until early morning of February 24, as per a fresh NOTAM. India is also expected to continue its reciprocal airspace restrictions on Pakistani carriers.

Fresh NOTAM Issued:
Pakistan’s aviation authorities released a new Notice to Airmen extending the existing airspace closure period.

Ban Valid Till February 24:
The restriction will remain effective till 05:29 AM (IST) on February 24, with no change in operational scope.

Wide Applicability:
The closure applies to all Indian-registered aircraft, including those operated, owned or leased by Indian airlines, as well as military flights.

Reciprocal Action Likely:
India is expected to extend its own airspace ban on Pakistani airlines for a similar duration.

Tenth Month of Restrictions:
With this extension, the reciprocal airspace closures between the two countries enter their tenth consecutive month.
