Paras Defence and Space Technologies has secured a contract worth around ₹80.28 crore from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under India’s Ministry of Defence for developing a high-precision optical system designed for air defence applications.
The company announced the order in a regulatory filing, stating that the contract includes the development of an advanced optical system aimed at enhancing the performance and accuracy of air defence platforms. The total contract value is estimated at about ₹80.28 crore, including applicable taxes.
According to the company, the system will support critical air defence operations by providing high-precision optical capabilities for tracking and targeting. Such systems play an important role in strengthening surveillance and response capabilities against aerial threats.
The order highlights Paras Defence’s growing role in India’s defence manufacturing sector and its continued collaboration with DRDO on advanced defence technologies. The project is expected to contribute to the development of indigenous defence capabilities.
