A 63-year-old passenger has been arrested by police at Kempegowda International Airport for allegedly misbehaving with a cabin crew member during a Gulf airline flight from Bahrain to Bengaluru.
The accused, identified as Jacob Alexander, is alleged to have behaved inappropriately with a 24-year-old air hostess during the flight. Despite objections raised by the crew member, he reportedly continued the misconduct, prompting her to inform the flight captain about the incident.
Following standard protocol, the crew member was advised to file a formal complaint after landing. Upon arrival at Terminal 2 of the airport, she approached authorities and lodged a complaint detailing the incident.
Based on her statement, police registered a case against the accused under charges of sexual harassment and outraging the modesty of a woman. He was taken into custody for questioning and subsequently arrested, with further investigation underway.
