Passenger Tries Opening Exit on IndiGo Flight.

Panic unfolded aboard an IndiGo flight when a passenger allegedly attempted to open the emergency exit door shortly before landing. The incident occurred on flight 6E-185 operating between Bengaluru and Varanasi, raising serious safety concerns among passengers.

According to officials, the passenger, identified as Mohammad Adnan from Mau district in Uttar Pradesh, tried to tamper with the emergency door during the flight. The cabin crew quickly intervened, ensuring the situation was brought under control and warning the passenger against repeating such actions. The swift response helped avoid any major disruption and ensured a safe landing.

Passengers onboard were reportedly shaken by the incident but later expressed relief and appreciation for the crew’s professionalism. Following standard aviation security procedures, the individual was handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force and local police authorities upon arrival.

During questioning, the passenger initially claimed he was unaware of his actions and later stated he was “possessed by a ghost.” Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation, while his family has been informed and is en route to Varanasi. Officials confirmed that further interrogation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances behind the incident.
