Pilot Receives Heartwarming Birth News Mid-Flight.

An Airbus pilot received an unforgettable message while flying when his airline’s Operations Control Centre (OCC) informed him that his daughter had been born. The message confirmed that both mother and baby were doing well and congratulated him on behalf of the entire team.

The pilot’s brother had been unable to reach him directly, so he contacted the airline’s operations control team on the ground. The OCC then sent the news to the cockpit through ACARS, the aircraft communication system used to exchange text messages between aircraft and ground operations.

ACARS typically carries operational information, including weather updates, gate changes and fuel-related data. On this occasion, however, it delivered a deeply personal message that the pilot would remember for the rest of his life.

The pilot photographed the cockpit screen to preserve the special moment. The image has since been shared widely online, with many people describing it as one of the sweetest messages ever sent through ACARS.

Pilots often miss important family occasions because of their professional responsibilities. This heartwarming story highlights how a thoughtful gesture from an airline’s ground team helped a new father receive life-changing news while still in the air.
