At Aero India 2025, Poland’s largest private defense technology company, WB Group, made waves by showcasing its battle-tested Warmate Tube-Launched (TL) Loitering Munition System for the first time. The Warmate TL, designed for precision strikes, is a highly effective loitering munition capable of autonomous flight and targeting, making it an essential asset for modern warfare. Its exhibition at Aero India 2025 underscores its potential in enhancing the tactical capabilities of armed forces globally, particularly in high-intensity conflict zones.

In a significant move to strengthen its ties with India, WB Group, through its Indian subsidiary WB Electronics India Pvt Ltd, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an Indian firm. This strategic agreement is aimed at establishing a production line in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC), which will contribute to the Make-in-India initiative and bolster India’s defense manufacturing capabilities. By setting up this facility, WB Electronics India is not only investing in India’s defense sector but also supporting the country’s growing self-reliance in defense technologies.

The collaboration and the establishment of a production line in UPDIC are expected to drive innovation, enhance local manufacturing capacity, and create employment opportunities within the defense sector. The Warmate TL system’s introduction into the Indian market aligns with India’s strategic objectives to modernize its military and advance technological autonomy. This partnership represents a step forward in defense cooperation between Poland and India, with both countries keen to expand their collaborative efforts in cutting-edge military technologies.

As India continues to expand its defense sector and prioritize indigenous manufacturing, the presence of WB Group at Aero India 2025 highlights the increasing role of foreign defense firms in India’s growth as a defense manufacturing hub. The agreement with WB Electronics India paves the way for future technological advancements and closer collaboration between the two nations in defense-related fields.
