Qatar Airways Posts Strong Annual Profit.

Qatar Airways has reported a post-tax profit of nearly $1.94 billion for the 2025/26 financial year despite facing operational challenges caused by regional conflict and airspace disruptions across the Middle East during the final weeks of the reporting period.

Although the result was lower than the airline’s record-breaking profit from the previous year, the carrier achieved its highest-ever operating profit of around $4.1 billion. The strong performance highlights the airline’s resilience amid geopolitical instability affecting Gulf aviation operations.

During the financial year, Qatar Airways carried approximately 41.8 million passengers through Hamad International Airport, which continues to serve as one of the world’s leading long-haul transit hubs connecting Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

The airline also confirmed that its cargo division transported more than 1.43 million tonnes of freight, helping maintain a significant share of the global air cargo market despite regional operational pressures and route adjustments caused by restricted airspace.

CEO Hamad Al-Khater described the year as a major test of both performance and resilience. He credited the airline’s strong financial position, strategic partnerships, and workforce for helping the company successfully navigate ongoing regional disruptions.

The results underline how Qatar Airways continues to remain profitable despite repeated geopolitical challenges that have reshaped flight paths and increased operational complexity for airlines across the Gulf region.
