Initially, the departure was pushed back to 4:30 pm, but delays continued to mount, with the scheduled departure time shifting to 6:30 pm, then 7:30 pm, and eventually to 9:30 pm. At this point, passengers were informed that the flight had been cancelled entirely, causing widespread panic and frustration.
As the situation worsened, SpiceJet eventually announced a special flight at 1:50 am on Thursday. However, this came only after passengers flooded social media with complaints, expressing their anger and disappointment over the chaotic experience. Many passengers vented their frustrations about the lack of communication and the inconvenience caused by the long delays.
In the face of uncertainty, passengers were told that the next available flights to Delhi would be the following day, Thursday, but there were only a few seats left on each. Desperate to reach their destination, many chose to cancel their bookings for a full refund and booked last-minute tickets with other airlines, often at high prices.
The airline’s lack of timely communication and the sudden cancellation of the flight left many travelers scrambling for alternatives, while others were left to deal with the frustration of waiting for hours without any clear answers.
