SpiceJet has introduced a new Pune-Varanasi flight, which began operations on March 30, as part of its summer schedule. This is the only new flight added to Pune Airport for the season, offering passengers a direct connection between the two cities.
The flight will operate six days a week, departing from Pune at 12:30 AM, except on Saturdays. The addition of this route is expected to enhance travel convenience for passengers, particularly those visiting Varanasi, a significant religious and cultural destination.
A senior official at Pune Airport confirmed that of the 109 available slots, airlines have already occupied 104, leaving little room for further expansions. The Pune-Varanasi route remains the sole new domestic connection added in this schedule.
SpiceJet’s expansion aligns with its strategy to strengthen its domestic network and cater to growing passenger demand. With limited new additions at Pune Airport, this flight marks an important enhancement to the existing connectivity options.
