Thai Airways Receives First GE-Powered Boeing 787-9.

AerCap has delivered **Thai Airways International’s first new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner powered by GE Aerospace engines, marking a new milestone for the airline’s fleet expansion.

The aircraft was handed over at Boeing Everett Factory Delivery Center in Seattle on June 23, 2026, in a ceremony attended by representatives from Thai Airways, Boeing, GE Aerospace, and AerCap.

This aircraft is the first factory-delivered Boeing 787-9 equipped with GE engines to join the Thai Airways fleet, adding a new generation widebody aircraft to the carrier’s long-haul operations.

The 787-9 Dreamliner is known for its fuel efficiency, advanced technology, improved passenger comfort, and longer-range capabilities, making it a key aircraft for international route growth.

The delivery supports Thai Airways’ ongoing fleet modernization strategy as the airline continues strengthening its global network with more efficient and advanced aircraft.
