Turkish Airlines Jet Suffers Tyre Fire.

A Turkish Airlines aircraft experienced a tyre fire while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport early Monday morning, prompting an emergency response and passenger evacuation. Authorities confirmed that all passengers and crew members onboard were safely evacuated without injuries.

The flight, operating as TK726 from Istanbul to Kathmandu, reportedly caught fire on its right-side tyres during landing. Airport emergency crews quickly responded to the incident and successfully contained the fire using airport fire engines before the situation escalated further.

According to airport security official SP Rajkumar Silawal, the aircraft was carrying 278 passengers along with 11 crew members at the time of the incident. Several United Nations officials were also reportedly among the passengers onboard the flight.

Operations at Tribhuvan International Airport continued as authorities began investigating the cause of the tyre fire. Officials have not yet released further technical details regarding the incident.
