Türkiye’s homegrown light attack aircraft, Hürjet, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), successfully completed its first supersonic flight test on Monday, marking a significant milestone in the country’s defense aviation capabilities. The test flight took place above the capital, Ankara, and was reported by Anadolu Agency (AA), which included captivating photos of the aircraft soaring through the sky.
Prior to the flight, the governorship of Ankara issued a statement on social media, informing residents about the planned test flight. It was scheduled to take place in a “controlled and planned manner” between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. local time, advising citizens not to panic or feel anxious during the event.
