Two Indian students from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry have died in an air accident in Canada while undergoing flight training. The deceased were identified as Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham from Puducherry.
The Consulate General of India in Vancouver expressed condolences to their families and said it is ready to provide all possible consular assistance, including support for repatriating their mortal remains to India. Canadian authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Reports from Canadian media identified the aircraft as a Cessna 172 operated by Harv’s Air, which crashed near Kisbey, Saskatchewan, on September 18. However, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the cause of the crash.
