Heavy rainfall caused temporary waterlogging on the road connecting the terminal to the parking area at Noida International Airport in Jewar, Greater Noida, with visuals of the affected stretch going viral on social media.
The incident drew attention as water accumulated on the access road following the heavy downpour. The viral video showed vehicles moving through the waterlogged area near the airport terminal.
However, airport officials clarified that the situation was temporary and was resolved within around 30 minutes. They also confirmed that the waterlogging did not affect flight operations, passenger services or other airport activities.
The incident highlights the challenges airports and surrounding infrastructure can face during periods of heavy monsoon rainfall, particularly in newly developed areas. Authorities continue to monitor airport facilities and access roads to ensure smooth movement for passengers and vehicles.
