The Aviation Minister has unveiled a transformative initiative for Prayagraj, announcing the introduction of night landing facilities and direct flights to eight cities, significantly improving the region’s connectivity and accessibility. Until now, Prayagraj had limited direct flight options, with services available only to Delhi and Bhubaneswar. However, starting January 10, Alliance Air will begin operating direct flights to six additional destinations, including Chandigarh, Kolkata, Dehradun, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Jabalpur. This move will create a robust air travel network, enabling easier and more efficient travel to key locations across the country. The new schedule, released by Alliance Air shortly after the Aviation Minister returned to Delhi from Prayagraj, reflects the airline’s readiness to expand its services. Last week, Alliance Air submitted a proposal to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), seeking approval to launch direct flights to these cities.
