Bengaluru/Satna: In a major development for aviation skill training in Madhya Pradesh’s Vindhya region, AirDivit Udan Academy Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Aerospace & Aviation Sector Skill Council in Bengaluru, aimed at creating structured employment opportunities for local youth in the fast-growing aviation sector.

The agreement was signed in Bengaluru between Sangh Rakshaka V.P., Chief Executive Officer of the Aerospace & Aviation Sector Skill Council, and Jagrat Kapoor, Director of AirDivit Udan Academy. Senior representatives from both organisations were present during the signing ceremony, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration focused on skill development and industry integration.

Under the MoU, students from the Vindhya region will receive job-oriented training in Airport Operations, Aircraft Maintenance and Repair, Drone Operations, and Airport Customer Service. The programmes will be aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and mapped to the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), ensuring nationally recognised certification and improved employability.

The Aerospace & Aviation Sector Skill Council operates under India’s national skill development framework and works closely with airlines, aviation companies, research institutions, and training providers to design industry-relevant skill programmes.

AirDivit Udan Academy is already conducting aviation-focused degree programmes such as BBA Aviation, Airport Management, and Drone-related courses in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidyalaya, Chitrakoot.

According to officials, approximately 250 students will be trained in the first phase through short-term and long-term programmes. The initiative will also provide practical exposure at nearby airports, including those in Rewa and Chitrakoot, enabling students to gain real-time operational experience.

The collaboration is expected to enhance employment prospects at regional airports such as Rewa, Satna, Khajuraho, Panna, and Chitrakoot. Industry observers believe the move could significantly reduce migration of youth to metropolitan cities for aviation training while strengthening the regional economy.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagrat Kapoor said the partnership would create a structured roadmap for aviation careers in the Vindhya region. He added that the long-term objective is to develop the region into a recognised aviation skill hub capable of supplying trained professionals across India and overseas.

The two organisations also plan to implement a Train-the-Trainer model to certify local instructors and expand training capacity in the region.

The MoU signals a strong push toward skill-based employment generation, offering fresh momentum to aviation education and workforce development in central India.
