A Fly91 ATR 72-600 operating a Hyderabad–Hubballi flight faced severe turbulence mid-air, forcing a diversion on April 19. The aircraft, scheduled for a short one-hour journey, remained airborne for nearly four hours due to adverse conditions.

Departing from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, the flight encountered difficulties while approaching Hubballi, where it was instructed to enter multiple holding patterns. The situation created panic onboard, with passengers reporting a frightening experience amid continuous turbulence.

Unable to land safely at Hubballi, pilots eventually diverted the aircraft to Kempegowda International Airport, where it landed safely later in the evening.

The airline clarified that there was no technical fault with the aircraft, attributing the diversion solely to bad weather and stating that all actions were taken in line with standard safety procedures.
