Emirates has introduced a new era of passenger comfort by becoming the first airline in the world to operate Safran Seats’ U-Dream headrest system on its Airbus A350 aircraft. The new technology made its debut on Emirates’ first A350, registered A6-EXF, featuring the latest SUS Z400 seats.
The innovative U-Dream headrest has been designed to provide improved head and neck support, allowing passengers to rest more naturally during long-haul journeys. The system aims to reduce travel fatigue and enhance overall comfort, especially on extended flights.
Emirates plans to introduce the U-Dream headrest across its entire Airbus A350 fleet, including aircraft already in service and future deliveries. The rollout will cover 50 A350 aircraft, along with six Airbus A380s, further expanding the premium passenger experience across the airline’s fleet.
The installation program is being supported by Safran Seats Dubai Field Support teams to ensure smooth implementation and maintain high standards of quality and performance. The launch marks the first operational use of the U-Dream headrest globally, highlighting Emirates’ continued focus on innovation and onboard comfort.
