Aircraft leasing company Jetran has released its first official statement following a widely circulated video showing a controversial maneuver performed by a flight crew.
Jetran clarified that the aircraft involved is not owned by Qatar Airways and confirmed that no Qatar Airways pilots were operating the flight. The company explained that the aircraft was conducting a test flight ahead of its planned delivery to Qatar Airways.
The leasing company said it was disappointed by the maneuver and expects an official investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Jetran stated that appropriate action should be taken if the crew’s conduct is found to be improper.
Jetran also emphasized that the aircraft remains under its ownership at this stage, while Mammoth Freighters is responsible for overseeing the aircraft before its final delivery.
