A school principal in Rajasthan is winning hearts after reportedly spending ₹1 lakh from his personal savings to fulfil the dream of three schoolgirls who wished to experience a helicopter ride.

Rajendra Dhaka, principal of Government Mahatma Gandhi School in Kerap village, Didwana-Kuchaman district, reportedly made the gesture to reward three students — Khushi Meghwal, Ranjana Nayak and Jyoti — who secured the top three positions in their Class 8 examinations.

When the principal asked the girls what they wanted as a reward for their academic achievement, they expressed a wish to fly in a helicopter. Instead of dismissing their request, Dhaka reportedly arranged a special trip for them.

According to the account, the girls travelled to Chomu near Jaipur and enjoyed a helicopter ride lasting approximately 30 minutes. The experience gave the students an opportunity to fulfil a dream that might otherwise have remained out of reach.

The principal’s reported gesture highlights the role teachers can play beyond the classroom by encouraging students, recognising their hard work and helping them build confidence. It also brings attention to the importance of supporting girls’ education and aspirations in rural communities.

Although the ride lasted only half an hour, the experience could become a lasting memory for the three students and a reminder that their ambitions deserve encouragement.
