India’s NETRA Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is nearing its final operational configuration, marking a significant milestone in the country’s defense capabilities. The NETRA AEW&C platform is designed to provide the Indian Air Force (IAF) with enhanced situational awareness, surveillance, and control capabilities, playing a crucial role in airspace management, reconnaissance, and force coordination.
Based on a modified Embraer EMB-145 aircraft, the NETRA AEW&C system is equipped with advanced radar and communication systems.
