Egyptian airline Air Cairo has signed a firm order for 15 Airbus A320neo aircraft at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, marking its first direct aircraft acquisition from Airbus.

The new order supports Air Cairo’s ambitious long-term expansion strategy. The airline currently operates a fleet of more than 45 aircraft and aims to grow its fleet to over 130 aircraft by 2034.

The A320neo is expected to strengthen Air Cairo’s fleet while supporting the carrier’s growing domestic and international network. The order also represents an important milestone in the airline’s development as it continues to expand its presence in international markets.

The agreement was announced during the El Alamein International Airshow, being held from September 8–10, 2026, at El Alamein International Airport in Egypt.
