Air Transat Launches Quebec–Marseille Route.

Air Transat has officially launched a new direct route connecting Quebec City and Marseille, creating an exclusive nonstop link between Quebec and southern France for the 2026 summer travel season. The inaugural flight departed Canada on Thursday, May 21, marking another expansion in the airline’s transatlantic network.

The new seasonal service will operate once every week, with flights departing every Thursday until October 8, 2026. Air Transat is operating the route using its Airbus A321neo LR aircraft, offering passengers a comfortable two-class cabin layout on the approximately seven-hour journey across the Atlantic.

The route was developed through collaboration between the Marseille Tourist Office, Atout France Canada, and Marseille Provence Airport. Tourism officials believe the direct service will strengthen travel and tourism ties between Canada and southern France.

According to local tourism data, overnight stays by Canadian visitors in Marseille have increased by 128% since 2019. Airport authorities say the new nonstop flight responds to growing demand while giving travelers a more convenient alternative to connecting through larger hubs such as Paris or Montreal.
