Alaska Airlines has launched new daily non-stop flights between Seattle and London Heathrow, further strengthening the airline’s growing international presence. The new route marks another major step in Alaska Airlines’ strategy to expand global connectivity from its Seattle hub.
Along with the London service, the airline has also introduced new international flights to Rome and Reykjavík, Iceland, offering passengers more direct travel options to Europe. The expansion reflects increasing demand for long-haul international travel from the US West Coast.
To support its international growth, Alaska Airlines also announced plans for a new global Alaska Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Scheduled to open in late 2027, the facility is expected to become the airline’s largest lounge in Seattle.
The expansion highlights Alaska Airlines’ continued investment in premium passenger experience, international operations, and strengthening Seattle’s role as a major gateway for global travel
