Delta Reopens Flight Attendant Applications for 2027.

Delta Air Lines reopened flight attendant applications in September 2026 for candidates expected to join its 2027 hiring classes. The recruitment includes English-speaking positions and bilingual Language of Destination roles.

Under Delta’s pay scale effective June 1, new flight attendants earn $38.40 per flight hour. The rate rises with seniority, reaching $74.55 after 11 years and $86.32 after 12 years. These rates apply to flight hours, not every hour on duty. Delta also provides a boarding premium equal to 50% of the applicable flight-pay rate for scheduled boarding time.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and speak, read and write English fluently. Candidates must be willing to work domestic and international routes, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Successful candidates must complete the hiring and pre-employment process before attending seven weeks of in-person training in Atlanta. Delta says applications will remain open until it receives enough candidates, with no fixed closing date announced.
