EgyptAir Launches First Chicago–Cairo Direct Flight.

EgyptAir has officially launched its first nonstop service between O’Hare International Airport and Cairo, with the inaugural flight departing Chicago on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

The new route was announced earlier this year in partnership with Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Department of Aviation, marking a major step in strengthening air connectivity between Chicago and Egypt.

EgyptAir will operate the Chicago–Cairo service three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flights from Cairo will arrive at O’Hare at 5:15 a.m., while flights from Chicago will depart at 10:30 a.m.

The route will be operated using a 340-seat Airbus A350-900, featuring 30 Business Class seats and 310 Economy Class seats. With this launch, Chicago becomes the fourth North American destination served by EgyptAir after New York, Washington, and Toronto.

The new nonstop service is expected to support tourism, business travel, and cultural connections between the United States and Egypt while expanding EgyptAir’s international network.
