Embraer has reached a major milestone with the delivery of its 2,000th E-Jet, an E195-E2, to Brazilian airline Azul on September 2, 2026. The milestone aircraft was handed over at Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
The delivery also marks Azul’s 50th E195-E2, highlighting the long-standing partnership between the Brazilian manufacturer and the airline. Azul has been an important E-Jet operator since beginning commercial operations in 2008.
Since the first E-Jet entered service in 2004, the family has accumulated around 48 million flight hours and carried approximately 2.85 billion passengers. E-Jets are now operated by more than 90 airlines across over 60 countries, making the program one of the world’s most successful commercial jet families.
The 2,000th delivery represents more than two decades of E-Jet operations and reinforces Embraer’s strong position in the commercial aircraft market, particularly in the regional and single-aisle segments.
