Emirates Unveils World’s First Electric Premium Economy Seat.

Emirates has unveiled what it calls the world’s first electrically powered Premium Economy seat with a full-height adjustable privacy screen. The new seats will debut on the airline’s newly delivered Airbus A350 aircraft.

The A350 Premium Economy cabin will feature 28 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, with each seat offering up to 39 inches of pitch and a 20-inch width. Passengers can electronically raise, lower and lock the privacy screen between seats, creating a more personal space for sleeping, dining or working.

The new seats also feature electric seat controls, wireless charging, USB-C connectivity and a 13.3-inch 4K HDR entertainment screen. Emirates says the upgrades are designed to bring greater comfort, privacy and convenience to its Premium Economy passengers.
