Etihad Airways Launches First Nonstop Abu Dhabi–Calgary Flights.

Etihad Airways has expanded its presence in Canada with the launch of its first nonstop service between Abu Dhabi and Calgary. The inaugural flight, EY29, arrived at Calgary International Airport with a fully booked passenger cabin, marking a significant milestone for the airline’s North American network.

The arrival was welcomed by government ministers, regional business representatives and local tourism leaders, highlighting the route’s potential to strengthen tourism, trade and business ties between the United Arab Emirates and Western Canada.

Etihad will operate the service four times weekly using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Flights are scheduled to depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, providing regular nonstop connectivity between the two cities.

Calgary becomes Etihad’s second Canadian gateway, joining Toronto, which has been part of the airline’s network for several years. The new route offers travellers in Alberta direct access to Abu Dhabi and onward connections through Zayed International Airport.

Passengers will be able to connect to destinations across India, the Gulf region and East Asia, expanding travel options for leisure, business and visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic.
