The International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations has commended Pakistan’s air traffic controllers for their professionalism and dedication during recent regional airspace disruptions. The appreciation highlights their critical role in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations despite challenging conditions.
In a letter to Pakistan’s aviation authorities, IFATCA’s Asia Pacific Executive Vice President Cheryl Chen praised the controllers for maintaining high standards of service over recent weeks. Their efforts were recognized as vital in handling complex and dynamic airspace scenarios.
Amid rising geopolitical tensions impacting regional air routes, Pakistan emerged as a key transit corridor between Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. This led to a surge in air traffic, including multiple flight diversions from neighbouring airspaces.
Despite the increased workload, Pakistan’s air traffic controllers ensured seamless coordination and safety, reinforcing the country’s importance in global aviation operations.
