Jetstar Launches First-Ever Colombo Service.

Australia’s Jetstar Airways has officially started operations to Sri Lanka, with its inaugural direct flight from Melbourne arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on the 25th.

The historic first service was operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, marking Jetstar’s first-ever flight to Sri Lanka and adding a new international connection to the airline’s network.

The new Melbourne–Colombo service is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Australia and Sri Lanka, while providing travellers with a convenient direct option between the two cities.

The launch also expands Jetstar’s international presence and creates another travel link between Australia and South Asia.
