Kuwait Airport To Resume Flights Gradually.

Kuwait International Airport will begin the gradual resumption of Arab and international airline operations starting June 1, 2026, according to an announcement made by Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Thursday.

The decision comes after authorities completed repair and maintenance work at Terminal 1 of the airport. Officials stated that flights will return in phases under a carefully planned operational strategy designed to ensure smooth airport operations and passenger safety.

The aviation authority added that the phased reopening will help airlines and airport teams manage traffic efficiently while minimizing disruptions during the transition period. Both regional and international carriers are expected to gradually restore their schedules through the terminal.

The move is expected to improve connectivity for travellers across the Middle East and beyond, especially as summer travel demand continues to rise. Airport officials have assured passengers that safety, operational efficiency, and service quality remain top priorities during the reopening process.
