Lufthansa Cabin Crew Strike Disrupts Flights.

Cabin crew at German flag carrier Lufthansa began a major strike on Friday, impacting hundreds of flights across the country. The walkout, which started at midnight, involves around 20,000 flight attendants and is set to continue until 10 p.m.

The strike was called by the UFO trade union amid stalled wage negotiations. This marks the airline’s third major labor disruption this year, following earlier pilot strikes that had already strained operations.

To minimize disruption, Lufthansa preemptively canceled a significant number of flights. Major hubs including Frankfurt and Munich have been heavily affected, along with airports in Berlin, Stuttgart, and Leipzig/Halle. At Frankfurt alone, nearly 75% of scheduled departures were canceled.

Although the strike mainly targets departures from Germany, ripple effects are expected on return flights, especially during the busy Easter travel period. Passengers have been advised to check flight statuses before heading to airports as disruptions continue.
