Navi Mumbai International Airport is expected to handle up to 50,000 passengers daily and operate nearly 380 flights per day by the end of this year, according to sources. The airport, being developed by Adani Group, is set to become a major addition to India’s aviation infrastructure.

The new airport is likely to play a crucial role in reducing congestion at Mumbai’s existing airport, which has been operating near capacity for years. With advanced facilities and expanded runway capacity, NMIA is designed to support growing domestic and international travel demand.

Once fully operational, the airport will significantly enhance regional connectivity, improve passenger experience, and support economic growth in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Airlines are also expected to expand operations from the new hub.

The project reflects India’s broader push to modernize aviation infrastructure and accommodate rising passenger traffic, positioning Navi Mumbai as a key gateway for future air travel.
