Philippine Airlines (PAL) has formally signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for nine additional A350-1000 aircraft during a ceremony held in Makati City, Philippines.
The agreement finalises the commitment announced at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2026, bringing the airline’s total firm orders for the A350-1000 to 18 aircraft, with purchase rights for five additional jets.
The newly ordered widebody aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2034 and 2036. They will support PAL’s long-haul fleet expansion and help strengthen its international network, particularly services to North America.
The additional A350-1000s will provide Philippine Airlines with greater capacity for long-distance operations as the carrier continues to expand its global connectivity.
