Syrian Airlines has unveiled a new corporate identity and strategic vision at Damascus International Airport, marking another step in its modernization programme and plans to expand its international network.
The airline’s CEO Anwar Akkad said Syrian Airlines currently operates six aircraft and plans to double its fleet to 12 aircraft by the end of 2026. The carrier has been adding aircraft as part of its fleet renewal programme, including Airbus A320-family jets.
Syrian Airlines also plans to significantly expand its network. The airline aims to increase its destinations from nine at the beginning of the year to 25 by year-end. Recent additions include Amsterdam, Vienna, Copenhagen and Moscow, providing more direct connections between Damascus and Europe and Russia.
The modernization programme also includes a major digital transformation. The airline has launched a new website and is upgrading its booking, payment and electronic services.
A new reservation system designed to meet international standards is expected to be introduced in early November, supporting the airline’s broader plans for growth and improved passenger services.
