The aircraft is a Flugwerk-built Fw 190A-8/N, serial number 1134, added to the museum’s growing collection of historic warbirds.
Ownership and acquisition:
It was purchased in January by Ali İsmet Öztürk, founder of the MSÖ Air & Space Museum, from U.S.-based owner Dan Kirkland.
Restoration progress:
Major work has been completed on the engine, landing gear, and wing structures, marking a critical milestone in the project.
Current work phase:
Wing assembly is ongoing and expected to continue into early 2026 at the museum’s restoration hangar.
Location:
The aircraft is being restored at the Sivrihisar Aviation Center, following a nearly two-month transport journey from the United States.
