Air India and Air India Express announced that they will operate a total of 56 flights on March 9, 2026, including scheduled and additional services, to assist passengers affected by recent disruptions in the West Asia region. The move aims to ease travel demand and ensure smoother connectivity for travelers.
According to the airlines, 24 scheduled flights will operate to Jeddah and Muscat on the same day. These services are part of the airlines’ regular network connecting India with key destinations in the Middle East.
In addition to the scheduled operations, both airlines are also planning extra flights to the UAE to help clear passenger backlogs caused by the disruptions. However, the additional services will depend on slot availability, regulatory approvals, and operational conditions.
The announcement was shared through an official statement on social media, where the airlines confirmed their commitment to supporting affected travelers and maintaining connectivity across important West Asia routes.
