Emirates Eyes Berlin, Stuttgart Flights.

Emirates may soon expand its presence in Germany by launching flights to Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Stuttgart Airport if bilateral aviation rights between Germany and the United Arab Emirates are expanded.

The Dubai-based airline currently operates services from Dubai International Airport to major German hubs including Frankfurt Airport, Munich Airport, Düsseldorf Airport, and Hamburg Airport.

Recent political discussions in Germany have raised the possibility of granting additional landing rights to Emirates, which could allow the airline to add new destinations such as Berlin and Stuttgart. However, the proposal has reportedly faced opposition from German flag carrier Lufthansa and some transport authorities concerned about increased competition.

Reports from German media outlets suggest that the German Chancellor’s Office may support expanding the bilateral aviation agreement, potentially opening the door for Emirates to strengthen its network in Europe.

If approved, the move would increase connectivity between Germany and the UAE while intensifying competition between Emirates and Lufthansa in the long-haul aviation market.
