A long-haul flight operated by Air India from Bengaluru to London Heathrow was diverted to Jeddah after a technical issue was detected mid-air, ensuring passenger safety remained the top priority.
The flight, operated using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, had been airborne for over six hours before making a precautionary diversion. The aircraft landed safely at King Abdulaziz International Airport at around 7:58 PM IST.
According to the airline, the diversion was carried out following standard safety protocols after a suspected technical concern. The aircraft is currently undergoing detailed inspections to ensure full operational safety before further deployment.
