Dassault Aviation has achieved a major milestone in its next-generation business jet program as the all-new Dassault Falcon 10X successfully completed its maiden flight. The first flight marks the beginning of the aircraft’s official flight test campaign and brings the program closer to entry into service.

Powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X engines, the Falcon 10X was tested for maneuverability and system performance during the flight. The aircraft initially climbed to 5,000 meters before the landing gear and moving surfaces were tested, followed by a climb to 12,000 meters where it reached a speed of Mach 0.82.

The Pearl 10X engine features the advanced Advance2 engine core and delivers more than 18,000 pounds of thrust. It also includes a new ultra-low emissions ALM combustor designed to operate with 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), supporting improved environmental performance.

The maiden flight took off from Dassault Aviation’s Mérignac facility near Bordeaux, France, representing a significant step forward for the ultra-long-range business jet. The Falcon 10X is expected to set new standards in cabin comfort, performance, and efficiency in the business aviation market.
