A touching moment aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to Raleigh has gone viral after a nurse chose kindness over conflict.

Blind passenger Ed Summers was travelling with his guide dog, Loki, when nearby passengers reportedly complained about sitting near another service animal and questioned the space the dog occupied under the seat.

As cabin crew attempted to manage the situation, nurse and content creator Jen Hamilton walked over and simply asked, “Can I sit with you?” Summers agreed, and the two spent the remainder of the flight talking.

The story quickly gained attention online, but Summers later explained that what impressed him most was not the gesture itself, but how Hamilton approached it. Instead of assuming what he needed, she asked him directly, allowing him to decide how the situation should be handled.

Summers said that simple act gave him dignity, independence, and control, highlighting an important lesson about respecting people with disabilities while offering help.
