Philippine Airlines (PAL) is preparing to expand its fleet further, with up to five additional aircraft expected to arrive before the end of 2026 as the flag carrier responds to recovering passenger demand and strengthens its international network.
The incoming aircraft are part of PAL’s broader fleet modernization and expansion strategy, which focuses on increasing capacity while introducing newer-generation aircraft for both regional and long-haul operations.
The Airbus A350-1000 is becoming an important part of PAL’s long-distance fleet. The airline currently operates two A350-1000s, with additional aircraft expected to join the fleet later this year. The type is particularly suited to PAL’s long-haul routes, including services connecting the Philippines with North America.
Looking further ahead, PAL has also committed to 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with options for five more aircraft. The order will mark the airline’s entry into the Boeing 787 family and is expected to provide additional long-term capacity for its international network.
With passenger demand continuing to recover, PAL’s fleet growth is aimed at supporting new opportunities, modernizing its aircraft and expanding connectivity between the Philippines and major destinations worldwide.
