CISF personnel at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru, detected two yellow-metal capsules weighing around 82 grams concealed inside the mouth of a passenger who had arrived from Dubai.

The passenger, identified as Mohd Siraj, an Indian national, arrived in Bengaluru on IndiGo flight 6E-1486 from Dubai at around 4:17 a.m. on August 26.

He was scheduled to continue his journey to Ghaziabad on IndiGo flight 6E-2518, which was scheduled to depart at 9:20 a.m. The concealed capsules were detected during security checks, following which the passenger was handed over to the concerned authorities for further investigation.

The incident highlights the continued vigilance of airport security personnel in detecting attempts to conceal suspected smuggled goods during air travel.
